Fareground Volunteer Code of Conduct

We ask that all volunteers commit to adhering to the following code of conduct. -I will treat everyone with dignity and respect: This includes respect for dietary choices or needs. I will avoid advising on or criticizing participants’ choices. -I will be kind, considerate, and ethical at all times while volunteering with Fareground. I will refrain from discriminatory or prejudicial behavior, actions or speech. -I will be gentle with all food, equipment, and supplies. -I will prevent the spread of infectious disease by washing my hands often with soap and water for 20 seconds. If soap and water are not available, I will use an alcohol-based hand sanitizer. I will avoid touching my face or hair. -I will call or text before my shift begins and stay home if I am not feeling well or have had a fever, diarrhea, vomiting, cough, or any cold/flu symptoms in the past 24 hours. -I will use gloves when handling any food at Fareground or at the Free Marketplaces -I will respect the privacy of staff, volunteers, and participants. -If I have a concern, I will address it promptly with a Fareground board or staff member.
