The Fever Pitch Pilgrimage Song Offering and Potluck

  • 2 Red Flynn Drive Beacon, NY, 12508 United States (map)

Taína Asili—a singer and activist—is embarking on a pilgrimage for climate justice and will pass through Beacon on Saturday Sept. 20th. The Fever Pitch Pilgrimage is a two-week, 150-mile journey walking from Albany to NYC (Sept. 13–27, 2025). Alongside a team of artist collaborators, Taína will be walking for climate justice, collective healing, and a just future, giving daily song offerings in collaboration with local grassroots organizations.

Midway through the journey, they will sail from Newburgh to Haverstraw (9/21) aboard the historic Clearwater. The pilgrimage will then continue on foot into New York City, culminating during New York Climate Week with a final performance at UPROSE Brooklyn (9/26)—the city’s oldest Latino-led, climate justice-focused organization. Following the NYC events, the team will travel by electric car to Rise & Root Farm for the Abundance Festival (9/27), a benefit for the Black Farmer Fund, where they’ll perform and offer a collective gift from the funds raised.

As they make their way through Beacon on 9/20, they will be partnering with Fareground for a song offering. These song offerings are brief yet powerful performances and community speakers that resist the violence of climate devastation, incarceration, war, fascism, and genocide—while uplifting the movements for immigrant rights, racial, gender, and climate justice, and a livable future for all.

Our Fareground community will offer an abundant potluck to nourish the participants in the Fever Pitch Pilgramage and each other. Please bring a dish to share, along with a list of ingredients and a place setting for each in your party.

PLEASE NOTE: the start time is an estimate because our guests will be traveling by foot.

Thank you to the Beacon Sloop Club for hosting!
